Speaker Sensitivity
Sensitivity is measured in dB SPL at 1 watt from 1 meter. Every +3 dB of sensitivity is roughly like doubling your amplifier power.
An 88 dB speaker played on 100 watts hits the same level as a 91 dB speaker on 50 watts. Sensitivity is why choosing an efficient speaker is often more effective than buying a bigger amp.
