Bass Management
Bass management is how the AVR routes low frequencies from your speakers to the subwoofer.
Setting your speakers to Small (crossover typically 80 Hz) sends deep bass to the subwoofer, freeing the mains and dramatically improving output capability. Only very large full-range speakers benefit from Large.
